Dorian Nakamoto (see IPFS picture), Craig Steven Wright, Dave Kleiman, Hal Finney, Len Sassaman, Nick Szabo, Phil Zimmermann or is there a group of people behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto? Craig Wright, on the other hand, is assumed by many to be a fraud. Nakamoto said goodbye to the scene on April 23, 2011 with the following words: I've moved on to other things. It's in good hands with Gavin and everyone. This suggests, or one could infer, that it was not one person who finally realized Bitcoin. The most clues of the true identity as well as correlations are with Hal Finney (Token ID: ab7a1db94776b6a1fdf5837aba60fe6f50f6c85f89ef5aa8e20d8aa5e22dfea2), he shared in March 2013 on the Bitcoin forum BitcoinTalk that he was paralyzed but he planned to continue programming until his death. Hal Finney died in August 2014 from the incurable disease ALS. It remains a mystery who or what Satoshi Nakamoto is. The fact is that all of the people mentioned had/have a direct or indirect connection to Satoshi and Bitcoin. One can only speculate about the reasons why Satoshi Nakamoto decided to keep his identity secret. The most likely reason is rooted in personal security. As someone who has created something potentially very powerful with Bitcoin, you don't just make friends. Phil Zimmermann, for example, the inventor of PGP, an encryption method for e-mail communication, was already allowed to experience this: He became a target of the U.S. government and was accused of criminality solely because of his invention. Bitcoin could one day have a major impact on the monetary system and the economy. Satoshi Nakamoto was also aware of this and probably led him to try everything to remain undetected.
