Captain Smirnow

Description

Captain Ivan Smirnow is a famous pirate on whose head the Turkish Sultan offered 1000 ARRR. In 1777 he voluntarily joined the Russian Baltic Fleet, led by Count Orlov and Admiral Spiridov, which unexpectedly appeared in the Aegean Sea during the Russo-Turkish War. He was a loyal crew member and successful in his battles. He lost an eye, a leg and a hand, but still fought on bravely. The Battle of the Baltic marked the beginning of Captain Smirnows' Russian service. For his services he was appointed Lieutenant Smirnow by decree of Empress Catherine the Great. When he was rumored to have had an affair with Catherine the Great, he was hounded from court. Since then, he now uses his skills and energy for commerce and charity. Captain Smirnow is married to Lady Smirnow and is the father of two children (Ekaterina and Alexei).
